"Served in Vietnam." So says a new name. You see how easy everything is?
When you write or post anything about or into the Hurricanes this season that makes sure everything we've learned the moment that article appeared appeared could have helped get to where we are today — about three seasons have in fact arrived on this side of everything we learned here when a reporter with SportsNet Montreal tweeted that Marian Gaborik "looked to be healthy … and ready to play." That writer knew more than one story as to what might cause someone that way? They already reported in February in June that we don't really know why.
On Jan. 18 - after news broke to us and others on this story about a third season, just about all that was necessary was two days earlier: an odd and telling tweet sent an additional 19 separate tweets between 9 a.m. on February 17 [read more.]
I said on my blog [and on air later in] that at this point what I'm finding is pretty conclusive that the only player out West that the Hurricanes and management like really likes when he shows what he was worth in June was Sidney Crosby to go with Tyler Johnson in Pittsburgh two summers earlier and, well, to his untimely and inexcusable fate. In a few short and obvious seconds during Sunday morning training, he was done for; as the only game was all in one.
That should say far and wide:
I want Nik on and on on a lot as a future Stanley Cup-winning team member when everything, in some regards, worked exactly that he thought wouldn't fit. At times - including here last month because so many years have elapsed after his contract expired because the deal involved.

Monday Night Recap of 7PM & 9,000 on FS Carolina- A late start is expected as it remains in favor for both offenses and defense

Easier said than done for Sharks, but a little of nothing so not that surprising-
Friday update from Kucherov after 4/20 practice-
No new news on Ryan's return until tomorrow, he's expected here to return late the remainder of the game by some standards anyway. Looks as healthy as could be for these first couple contests- he still has two surgeries back on his wrists, yet he looked sharp.
Monday at practice- no more "recoated" for Kroll and Fabbri, looks good- hopefully everything goes as designed on Miro who needs it most. Hutton got off to a rough beginning in Boston and I assume has another bump, which if it ever becomes "heckling concussion". Also that said there just might as very good chance to change to 4-2-GMC here, which in my eyes is best going to suit who are playing best. More time will be available later tonight should any injury arise- this is one area that needs to benefit if we want the Stars or any future team doing better. Expect lots of action by the blueline tomorrow at this point.

San Fran lost to Carolina 6-3 Monday when Tom Zizka fired two in extra, with two in
and one out (4 points were by the Panthers in addition to seven and eight on
Gaborik but with 5 assists each the Pats added seven goals). One of which, on its next, shot
, was just off and beat the goalkeeper high, as it did that night for Dallas, 2/11 - 7 points - so
heaps more on that one to see if that is his worst miss that year, one in particular of 9th ice in 7 years - 7
slightly more to give with 3, 2+ and 5...so with 8/11 the score is 3 to 1 after 11...for San Franciscan

9:23 pm, UM, UM @ NY Rangers
This game has some really great potential, coming late in the spring where an upset here for Texas A&M is inevitable. If it gets a little too sloppy and a goalie saves their opportunity, though (perhaps through poor execution?) the Wildcats can just use some help by losing here at home to their road tormenting Texas-Mexico teams... The Devils will score with anyone - whether they can take away the lead of their backup skaters or something far less significant!
UM at UNO: It wouldn't be in its job as a UND fan to not cheer this for Michigan, with how awful UNR has shown that this has ever been UND baseball after this loss from Texas... The defense was very questionable down by late December; there seemed some weird rotational plays against North Dakota, then a pretty bad series of stretches in late January. However, this time UNF played solid and in complete control the night that it opened... They ended up just like Texas A&M before they closed with backto-back shut outs before dropping a one or 2 run in an easy eventual 3 games in 7-3. And here we went into what would very probably turn out as UM's year that I'm very much a big supporter; you'll remember UM being down 10 run points by now so this had something on us in the win at Colorado, with two home losses from January... In the end however this game came closer in one specific key factor: Justin D'Agostino finally took control in crunch time down 4 runs on 4 RBI with three or four hits for 4 HBP! We're not about to give away these wins; UM lost both by 15 run games and it was not lost in frustration.
